Nigerian beauty queen Oma Osele has won the Miss Continental World 2026 pageant, taking the top prize at the international event in Thailand.
Osele, a model and medical laboratory scientist, beat contestants from more than 20 countries to win the title at the grand finale in Ayutthaya on October 9.
Shreeya Panda of India was the first runner-up, and Pornpaya Rianju of Thailand was the second runner-up.
Osele also received the ‘Queen of Africa’ title, given to the top African contestant, and won ‘Best National Costume’ for her cultural outfit.
This win comes after another achievement in September, when she earned the ‘World Premiere Award’ by leading the global fan vote on Eventista’s 1Vote platform.
Osele, whose full name is Iruomachukwu Osele, is 28, represents Nigeria after winning EliteGlam Pageant Nigeria 2025, and is also a Lagos-based entrepreneur and model.
Nigeria achieved another impressive result in the men’s category, as its representative, Unwana Sambo Essien, finished third runner-up at the Mister Continental World 2026 competition that same night.
Karnajit Ningthoujam from Thailand won this year’s men’s pageant.
Essien also received the ‘King of Kings’ title and the ‘Best National Attire’ award in the men’s category.
