Some beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s ₦50,000 relief grant have shared screenshots showing successful transfers from NairaGram wallets to OPay accounts now working.
The screenshots were posted on Facebook by a beneficiary who said the transfers were completed through NairaGram’s USSD service, *726“00#. ... advises users to set up their wallet PIN and follow the transfer prompts.
The beneficiary also recommends trying smaller amounts instead of withdrawing the entire ₦50,000 at once. However, these are individual experiences and do not guarantee the method will work for everyone.
The grant is part of the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI), which provides selected vulnerable households with ₦50,000. The Federal Government lists NairaGram among five approved payment providers. Its official guidance confirms that beneficiaries can use the USSD service to transfer money to a bank account or point-of-sale (POS) agent.
Beneficiaries should use only official channels and never share their personal identification number (PIN) or one-time password (OTP).
How to transfer
Dial *726*00# from the phone number linked to your NairaGram wallet and follow the instructions to transfer to OPay account. Check the recipient details before confirming.
