A lady identified as Chiomie has publicly withdrawn a rape allegation she previously made against Nigerian footballer Victor Ebele Jr., stating that he never raped her.
In a video shared on social media, the woman said she made the allegation in August 2025 while experiencing heightened emotions.
She expressed regret over the accusation and apologised to the footballer, his brother, and other members of his family.
Lady withdraws allegation against Victor Ebele
Addressing the public in the video, Chiomie said: “Hey buddy, my name is Chiomie. Sometime last year, August 2025, I made a post against Victor Ebele Jr. that he raped me. He never raped me, guys.”
She explained that her emotions influenced her actions at the time and led her to involve members of Ebele’s family in the controversy.
According to her, she also mentioned his brother, Frank Chiboy Ebele, and made statements against other members of the family.
“Along the line, when I made this post, due to how my emotions were flying so high, I dragged his brother, Frank Chiboy Ebele, into the mix. And not only that, his entire family. I defamed everybody,” she said.
The woman expressed remorse and urged members of the public not to continue associating the footballer with the allegation.
“I’m really sorry and I regret all my actions. And I hope that you guys don’t take it up against him because Victor is not a rapist,” she added.

She appeals to blogs to remove previous reports
Chiomie also appealed to blogs and social media platforms that shared her initial allegation to remove the posts.
She specifically mentioned Instablog9ja, claiming the platform reposted her original allegation from her page.
“Instablog9ja took this post from my page and I would like everybody that can get through to them, please let them take this post down,” she said.
She continued: “Take the post they made down because Victor never raped me. They had the post on their Instagram and their X page. Kindly, please Instablog9ja, take the post down.”
The woman further appealed to other blogs and platforms that circulated the allegation to delete the reports to prevent further damage to Ebele’s reputation.
Lady apologises to footballer’s family
According to Chiomie, the allegation had affected Victor Ebele and members of his family in their workplaces and personal relationships.
She admitted that her actions were wrong and said she regretted taking matters into her own hands instead of following appropriate channels.
“I regret my actions. I was highly emotional at that time, which prompted me to take laws into my hands,” she said.
She also issued a public apology to the entire Ebele family, acknowledging the consequences of her actions.
“This is also me making a public apology to everyone in the family. I’m really sorry. I took laws into my hands. What I did was wrong and I didn’t take the right precautions to get what I wanted. I’m really sorry. I’m actually, actually sorry.”
