Popular Ghanaian singer, Wendy Shay has urged her colleagues to show appreciation to their Nigerian counterparts for what they have done for Africa.

The fashionista made the call in a post on her social media page as she said that Nigerians ‘deserve flowers’ for bringing the world’s attention to the continent.

Shay averred that her West African neighbours have given Africa global relevance through Afrobeats.

The songstress tweeted; “GHANAIAN ARTISTES SHOULD THANK NIGERIANS ARTISTES, FOR BRINGING THE WORLD’S ATTENTION TO AFRICA …THROUGH AFROBEATS. GHANA WAKE UP!”

Give Nigerian Artistes their flowers 4 bringing the world’s Attention to africa thru Afrobeats N u ppl vex?

I will say it again lets swallow our pride, go to dem and ask dem how they did it, they might show us the road. God is using me speak to u,U ppl no wan listen. Ghana wake up.”

Meanwhile Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale has set aside his beef with Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy, to acknowledge the African Giant’s success.

He took to his official Snapchat account to hail Burna Boy despite the fact that they are no in longer in talking terms.

The Grammy-winning Nigerian act has had a successful year, from shutting down show to releasing an album with all songs topping music charts.

Shatta sent a shoutout to Odogwu and said he is happy for the ‘Dangote’ crooner even amidst their beef.

”Laad Gad my friend who was to be and no more my friend is killing the world – Even tho we don’t talk, am so happy to see him succeed!!? Shouts to Burna you burning it…. Love”, he wrote.

Their rift started in December 2021, when Shatta Wale threw a shade at Nigerian artistes after selling out the Accra Sports Stadium for his concert.

“Do you know that majority of people in the Ghana music industry are fools? They told me that I won’t be able to fill my stadium. I don’t look up to any stupid Nigerian artiste. I look up to my fans. F**k Nigeria.”

Fast-forward to December, Wizkid also had a sold-out concert in Ghana, where he talked about Africa being united.

However, In January, Burna Boy reacted to Shatta’s rant by taking to his Instagram story to condemn any attempt to divide African nations.
