Newcastle United Have Qualified For The UCL Group Stage For The 1st Time In 20 Years

Eddie Howe led Newcastle United team were in action yesterday in their 37th league game of the current English Premier League campaign against Leicester City at the St. James’ Park.

The host of the night who have been enjoying a blistering run of form so far this season were able to maintain the standard as they secured the needed one point to survive the top four spot, by currently sitting at the third spot on the table with just one game left to be played.

Newcastle United were very resilient with their incredible style of play in the show of the night as they gave a good fighting spirit that helped them secured a crucial and vital one point, thereby guaranteed their UEFA Champions League spot ahead of the next season.

The game between the two sides was such a thrilling and keenly contested encounter as they both put up some physical, tactical and technical displays but none was able to break the deadlock in the whole 90 minutes duration of the game which ended goalless draw.

Newcastle United with the result of the night have now qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stage for the first time since the 2002/2003 season, which was a period of 20 years.

They will then he hoping to maintain the tempo and momentum in the competition which will kick off in the new season after the summer break.
