The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Ogun State Command has intensified raids on identified drug black spots across the state as part of Operation Restore Order, a nationwide crackdown launched by NDLEA Chairman, retired Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa.
According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASN Haris A. Musa, the operation targeted notorious locations in Abeokuta known for drug trafficking and abuse.
He listed areas raided to include Mayas, Maiami (Panseke), Onion Market (Eleweran), MKO Stadium Kuto Park, and WAPCO (Lafenwa).
The coordinated raids, according to the statement, are aimed at disrupting illicit drug networks, dismantling distribution points, and reclaiming public spaces being used for drug-related activities.
