Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, founder of Omega Power Ministries, has called for the scrapping of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
This development comes amid the ongoing 2026 UTME examination, set to conclude on April 25, 2026.
Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere Comment On JAMB
In a viral Facebook post, the clergyman stated that for 8 years, he has advocated for JAMB to be scrapped.
According to him, in Nigeria , an individual is expected to write JAMB to gain admission to a tertiary institution, as this contradicts the admission process in developed countries.
The clergyman stated that for over 16 years, his ministry has been sending students on scholarships to study overseas, with requirements being West African Examination Council (WAEC) results and school fees.
“OPM Church for more than 16 years have been sending students on scholarship to USA, UK, POLAND, CYPRUS,CANADA, GHANA, COTONOU.In the above developed countries all they needed to give my students admission into university is waec and school fee”, ... reads.

It would be recalled that Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere’s autistic son, Aboy, tied the knot in a ceremony officiated by Apostle Chinyere himself on March 29, 2026.
Earlier, the clergyman publicly sought a wife for Aboy, offering financial incentives, which drew widespread criticism.
