Miss World Nigeria 2026, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, has won the Top Model for Africa title at the ongoing Miss World 2026 competition in Vietnam.
The Nigerian beauty queen secured the continental title on Thursday after emerging ahead of representatives from Equatorial Guinea, Botswana, Kenya and South Africa during the Top Model competition. Get the latest updates on our WhatsApp channel.
The competition was held as part of the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest XVII, which was themed “Soul of Heritage”.
Her victory has also secured Tamunosoye a place in the Top 40 quarterfinals of the Miss World 2026 competition.
Tamunosoye now joins the other continental Top Model winners who have earned their places in the Top 40. The Dominican Republic won the title for the Americas and Caribbean, France emerged for Europe, while Vietnam claimed the title for Asia and Oceania.
The Miss World Organization announced the results on its official Instagram page, writing:
“Congratulations to our four Continental Top Model winners, who have officially secured their places in the Top 40 quarterfinals of Miss World 2026.
“Americas & Caribbean: Dominican Republic; Africa: Nigeria; Europe: France; Asia & Oceania: Vietnam.
“One winner from each continent earned a coveted place in the Top 40 after standing out during the Top Model competition at Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest XVII: ‘Soul of Heritage.
“But the competition isn’t over yet: one of these four continental winners will be named the overall Top Model winner and earn a direct place in the Top 20!”
With her Top Model victory, Tamunosoye Karibi-George has strengthened Nigeria’s position in the ongoing Miss World competition and will now continue her journey toward the coveted Miss World crown.
