A young man believing to be in his early 20s identified as Dare Williams has been arrested for snatching a vehicle from a hailing service driver out of desperation.
According to the suspect, he did that so he can raise money to feature popular Nigerian artists Davido and Runtown on his song. Williams who is an upcoming music artist is reportedly lured his friend, Bethel Chukwuocha, 18, to snatch a Toyota Corolla car from the driver, Clement Aniegbe, on Monday night.

Willaim and his friend threatened the driver with the weapon like Kitchen knives and sedatives to abandon the vehicle and his mobile phone. Williams said his plan was to sell the vehicle for a million naira so he would raise the money he needed to advance his music career.

However, the Commissioner of Police (CP) Hakeem Odumosu, confirmed the incident and said the suspect was arrested on Tuesday, December 22.
