Man abandons his wife with five kids and moves in with her sister

A Rwandan woman known as Uwineza Ange, has narrated how her marriage crashed due to her husband’s love for another woman which turned out to be her elder sister

She recalled how he abandoned her and moved to her sister, leaving her to cater for their five children all by herself.

Ange, who shared her story with Afrimax said there was a day when she was sick and was admitted to hospital for two months.

According to her, neither the sister nor her husband visited the hospital to check up on her during that period.

She said the issue bothered her so much because she felt neglected and alone even though she has a lover and family member back at home.

Things began to unravel when her mum called her elder sister one afternoon after realising she had never visited Ange when she was on admission at the hospital.

A man picked up the phone, thereby raising suspicions about the elder sister and Ange’s husband.

She told her daughter what had happened and the mother-of-five decided to pay a visit to her elder sibling’s house to confirm the claim.

She was shocked when she entered the house and saw them having a party and there was a confrontation.

However, Ange returned home after a heated exchange and she hoped that her husband would follow her but he did not.

She narrated in part: “When I was a young girl, she used to mistreat me by overworking me and treating me like house help. She denied me the taste of education by overburdening me with house chores I had to drop school work. I was taking care of her kids.”

The lady added; “When I came back home from the hospital, I was shocked to realise that my husband had left our children and left to live together with my elder sister. It was so heartbreaking. Whenever I tried to call him, he never picked up my calls.”

Speaking on the visit to her sister’s place, she said; “When we entered the living room, we found they were having a big party, drinking alcohol and enjoying themselves”.
