A 34-year old man, Abdulazeez Rauf Olawale, has landed in trouble in Lagos State after he reportedly trapped a 15-year old girl into sex having fondled her breasts and she became confused in the process.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Olawale, has been arrested and charged for defilement under the Criminal Law of the State over his alleged conduct.
The incident happened at Ogundare Street, Ile-Epo, Oke-Odo. Lagos, in the Lagos, where they reside.
Police operatives from the Gender Section of the Command charged Olawale before the Court for allegedly having sex with the victim without her consent.
The Police alleged that the suspect lured the victim into an apartment, fondled her breasts, the girl became confused and he penetrated her without resistance.
However, after the act, the victim realized herself and raised alarm that Olawale raped her because he did it without her consent.
The matter was reported to the Police, he was arrested and charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
He was remanded in the custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s report, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not for trial.
The matter was adjourned for the outcome of the DPP’s advice while the defendant was remanded in custody.
