Lady Who Allegedly Murdered Her Own Children Over Husband’s Second Marriage Pleads Not Guilty In Court

A lady who allegedly murdered her own children after her husband married a second wife has pleaded not guilty in court.

She is a 26-year-old lady identified as Hauwa Habibu and her trial took place at a magistrate court in Kano.

She is reported to be a health worker and she was arrested in October after she committed the said crime.

Giving an account of how it happened, the brother of the lady’s husband identified as Sadiq Haruna Aminu stated that the lady was envious and jealous since her husband married another wife.

The court proceedings took place on December 23 and she denied doing anything wrong which her lawyer asked the court to send her to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation.

The request was granted by the presiding magistrate, Hauwa Lawan Minjibir with the case adjourned to January 5, 2021.
