A woman has gone viral after recounting how she met her husband on Twitter and got married to him just months later, revealing that they completely skipped the traditional talking stage.
The lady, whose identity was not disclosed in the post, said she met her husband on a random day in August. According to her, they met physically a week later, and he asked her out on the same day.
She accepted, and their relationship progressed rapidly over the following months.
Couple’s whirlwind journey to marriage
The woman explained that she met her husband’s parents in September, while he met hers in October.
By November, both families had held their introduction, followed by their pre-wedding shoot in December.
The couple then had their court wedding in January before holding their traditional and white wedding ceremonies in February.
Four years into the marriage, however, the woman said she realised they had never actually experienced a talking stage.
She said, “I never actually had a talking stage with this man.”
According to her, the couple effectively got married and began discovering each other within the marriage.
Lady describes marriage as a “wild risk”
Reflecting on their unusual journey, the woman acknowledged the risk involved in getting married after such a short period of courtship.
She said, “We literally got married and started discovering each other inside the marriage.”
The woman described the experience as a “Wild risk” but concluded that it had been worth it, writing, “10/10 worth it”.
Her story has sparked interest online, with social media users reacting to the couple’s unusually fast journey from meeting online to marriage.
