Kaduna State Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe joined the National President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Pharm. Ayuba Ibrahim Tanko, and pharmacists across Kaduna State in a health walk to mark the 2026 World Pharmacists Day and highlight the profession’s crucial role in healthcare delivery.
The walk, which commenced at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, drew participation from the State Commissioner of Health, the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Health Supplies Agency, the Director-General of the Kaduna Contributory Health Management Authority, the Director-General of the Kaduna State Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Agency, and executives and members of the PSN Kaduna State Branch.
In her address, Dr. Balarabe commended pharmacists for their vital contributions to the health sector, urging them to use the occasion to spotlight their impact on human capital development.
Tanko thanked the Deputy Governor for participating, noting it was the first time a high-ranking government official had joined the society’s walk.
