Nigerian gospel singer Toluwanisings, whose real name was Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, has reportedly died.
The news of his death was announced on Wednesday by Pelumi Olajengbesi, convener of the Coalition of Public Interests Lawyers and Advocates (COPA).
Olajengbesi expressed sadness over the singer’s reported death and raised concerns about the increasing number of young Nigerians dying.
Sharing a photograph of Toluwanisings on Instagram, he wrote: “My God! What a life! No, Lord! We plead for Your mercy upon Toluwanisings.
“I am deeply troubled by the deaths of young men and women. This is not God’s plan for us.”
Olajengbesi also declared: “We say no to untimely death.”
The announcement came after reports about the singer’s condition began circulating on social media approximately two hours earlier.
Toluwanisings, also known as Toluwani, was a gospel singer and songwriter from Osun State. He was known for his live performances and worship songs, including Kos’Oluwa Laye.
In July 2026, the singer and members of his team reportedly survived a road accident involving a heavy-duty trailer while returning from a ministration. He later shared the incident as a testimony of divine protection.
As of the time of filing this report, the circumstances surrounding his reported death had not been disclosed.
