JUST IN: APGA’s Soludo wins Anambra guber election [FULL RESULT]

Chukwuma Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has emerged the winner of the Anambra State governorship election, following the conclusion of collation across the state’s 21 local government areas by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Announcing the results on Sunday at INEC’s headquarters in Awka, the State Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof. Edogah Omoregie, declared Soludo the winner after he polled 422,664 votes out of the 584,054 votes collated across the state.

Soludo maintained a commanding lead over his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 99,445 votes. Other candidates included the African Democratic Congress (ADC) with 8,208 votes, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 1,401 votes.

The result marks a clean sweep for the incumbent governor, who won in all 21 LGAs declared by INEC.
