Junior Pope’s mother believes her son was murdered – AGN President

President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Emeka Rollas, has claimed that the mother of late actor, Pope Obumnene Odonwodo aka Junior Pope, believes her son was killed.

The AGN president made this known in a recent interview while talking about how Junior Pope’s Cameroonian mother was surprised that her son drowned.

Recounting the incident, Rollas disclosed that CPR was conducted on the Nollywood star when he was brought out of the water after four hours, but he didn’t make it.

He said “I was with his mother yesterday, and all the rumours online are making her feel that her son was !illed. I had to let her know that I was also supposed to be in the boat.

“Anybody that said they didn’t perform CPR on Jnr Pope is a liar. He was brought out d£ad after spending over 4 hours under the water.”

Meanwhile, CorrectNG recalls that on April 10 it was reported that Junior Pope Odonwodo died in a boat accident around Anambra state.

It was gathered that the 39-year-old actor and three of his colleagues were coming back from a movie location in a boat when they fell into Anam River.

This was after he had shared a video on his Instagram page showing him aboard a boat and praying frantically to arrive at his destination safely.

Pope captioned the post: “See me lamenting……The risk we take to entertain you ; crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…… Na wahoooooo …. Who does that ??”

The accident was said to have happened while the crew were returning from the location. Bodies of the drown victims have since been recovered. Junior Pope is survived by his wife and three children.
