Businessman and Economist Celebrates Chieftaincy Conferment and Inaugurates New Country Home in Kogi State
Businessman and economist, Dr. Joseph Onuche Enemona, has been crowned Olimene Ata Igala by the Ata Igala, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Alaji Opaluwa Mathew Akpa.
The coronation ceremony took place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Ata Igala’s Palace in Idah, Kogi State.
Following the ceremony, Enemona hosted Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, alongside his team and other distinguished guests at the Ogugu Centre in Ogugu, Olamaboro Local Government Area, where he also inaugurated his new country home.
Expressing gratitude to God for the chieftaincy title, Enemona described the honour as a remarkable privilege beyond words. He also thanked the Ata Igala for considering him worthy of the prestigious recognition.
According to Enemona, the conferment of the Olimene Ata title marked a significant milestone in his relationship with the Ata Igala Kingdom.
The occasion was a double celebration, combining his coronation with the formal opening of his country home in Ogugu.
DIGNITARIES GRACE CEREMONY
The event attracted several prominent personalities, including Davido and his entourage, former Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Dr. Edward David Onoja, and representatives of the Ata Igala.
Others in attendance included former President of the National Association of Scrap and Waste Dealers Employers of Nigeria (NASWDEN), Mr. John Egaji Obeh; representatives of the association’s current leadership; renowned Igala musician, Alhaji Umaja; and Iyeoja Ochogwu, Chief Mrs. Ojoma Cecilia Lawson, Chief Executive Officer of the Ojoma Heart of Gold Humanitarian Foundation.
Enemona expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of the ceremony, describing their support as instrumental in making the occasion memorable.
He prayed for continued celebrations in the homes of his guests and wished them safe journeys back to their respective destinations.
The coronation and country home inauguration brought together traditional leaders, business figures, entertainers and other dignitaries to celebrate Enemona’s new chieftaincy title and personal milestone.
