Jordyn Woods is coming to Jaden Smith’s defense after fans questioned his involvement in her wedding.
Just two weeks after tying the knot with Karl-Anthony Towns, the Woods by Jordyn founder clapped back at the questions surrounding Jaden’s very involved role in her big day, including why he was spotted posing with her bridesmaids and helping the groom get ready.
“‘Why is Jaden with all of the girls? And at the bridal shower?” Woods wrote in an Aug. 29 TikTok video, which was set to “A Couple Minutes” by Olivia Dean. “And helping Karl with his shoes?’”
The 28-year-old paired the questions with a series of photos showing Jaden with her bridal party, hanging out with her at her bridal shower and even down on the floor helping Karl get into his Christian Louboutin dress shoes before he headed down the aisle.
But Jordyn clearly wasn’t about to let anyone turn her longtime friendship with Jaden into a mystery.
“Because he’s never missed an important moment in my life,” Jordyn explained.
And she had the receipts to prove it.
Woods shared an adorable childhood photo of herself and Jaden rocking matching yellow sunglasses before taking followers even further down memory lane with more throwbacks—including photos of the two as babies.
The longtime pals have known each other since childhood thanks to Jordyn’s late father, John Woods, who worked as a sound engineer on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. That connection gave Jordyn plenty of time around the Smith family, including Jaden’s younger sister, Willow Smith.
“So grateful to have the epitome of a day ONE. From diapers to marriage,” Jordyn captioned the TikTok. “I can’t wait for his wedding one day but until then !!!”
She also reflected on the fact that Jaden has continued showing up for her through some of life’s biggest—and hardest—moments.
“He’s never missed a birthday, showing up at my dads funeral and making us all laugh, to now getting married,” she wrote. “I’m so lucky I’ve never had to know a life without our friendship.”
Jaden, 28, was clearly just as happy to be part of Jordyn and Karl’s special day.
The actor and rapper, who serves as Christian Louboutin’s Men’s Creative Director, even helped Karl get his wedding-day footwear together.
“My Best Friend Got Married And I Made Karl Size 20 Red Bottoms,” Jaden wrote on Instagram Aug. 19 alongside photos from the wedding.
“Jordyn I Love You So Much. Congratulations Karl I Love You Bro Keep The Swag On High.”
