It’s older women I usually date – Singer Khaid

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon aka Khaid, has revealed that most of the women he’s dated are older than him.

The 19-year-old singer made the disclosure when he appeared as a guest in the latest episode of the Spill With Phyna podcast, hosted by reality star, Phyna.

CorrectNG recalls that there were speculations about Phyna, real name Josephina Ijeoma Otabor, and Khaid being in a relationship.

She had shared a loved-up image with the artiste and fans criticised her for choosing to be with a younger man, but she felt it was just a display of double standards.

Speaking about his relationship life, Khaid said; “Most of the females I’ve been with are older than me and they don’t really have an issue with it”.

According to him, older women are more experienced and respectful, adding that that they are not bossy, contrary to social stereotypes.

Months ago, reality TV star and lawyer, Cynthia Nwadiora aka CeeC revealed why she cannot date Neo Akpofure despite him being her spec.

The Big Brother Naija All Stars finalist said even though he is her ideal man, she cannot go into a relationship with him because of the age difference.

CeeC, 30, said she had never thought about her 29-year-old colleague before meeting him in the Big Brother house.

She admitted that she has feelings for Neo but noted that nothing can happen between them because he is younger.

CeeC said; “I don’t think I’ve ever paid attention to Neo before we went for the All-Stars season. When I got into the House, I saw Neo. I said, ‘Ah! There is something different about you.

If you’re this fresh, I for notice.’ But I didn’t notice until somebody said… Yeah, the guy was fresh. He was too fresh. I don’t think there is any guy who is as neat and as fresh as him in the House. Physically, he was my spec [ideal man]. I won’t lie. Neo was my spec.

However, remember I said I didn’t want to be in a relationship in the House. And secondly, I’m older than Neo, even if it’s one year. And I don’t think I like to date younger men.”
