‘It’s a shame’ – OK Movement coordinator slams Onanuga over comment against Obi

The Southwest Zonal Coordinator of the OK Movement, Adefolaseye Adebayo has slammed President Bola Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga over his recent comment against the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate for the 2027 election, Mr Peter Obi.

DAILY POST reports that Onanuga on Saturday night shared a post on his X handle, indicating that a presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Osifo Stanley Osayamen, who contested the party’s ticket against Tinubu “possesses the courage that certain aspiring presidents, such as Peter Obi, lack”.

... insinuated Obi’s lack of confidence to contest primary elections following his recent defection from the African Democratic Congress, ADC to the NDC.

Reacting to Onanuga’s post, Adefolaseye in an X post on Sunday, said, “it is a shame that, as a media and communication representative of this government, instead of projecting Nigeria positively to the United States and the international community by reassuring them that our elections will be transparent and credible, your government chose from day one to relentlessly pursue and attack a Nigerian who continues to contribute immensely to improving the lives of ordinary people.

“We know Peter Obi is your major assignment. Your job description appears to be simply: “Attack Peter Obi.”

“Remember, just as Nigerians remember Lai Mohammed largely for propaganda and misinformation, people are remembered for what they consistently represent.

“When you eventually leave office because government positions are temporary ;have you ever paused to think about what history will remember you for in old age?

“I already know the answer, because you are carrying out that assignment passionately and diligently”.

DAILY POST reports that OK Movement is a new political pressure group aimed at promoting the much anticipated Obi/Kwankwaso presidential ticket.
