Iran Fires Missiles at Israel Amid Delayed US Strikes

Iran launched a series of missiles at Israel on Tuesday following a delay in planned US airstrikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure, reportedly postponed by President Donald Trump due to ongoing talks with Iranian officials.

The Israeli Fire and Rescue Service reported that the missile attacks triggered air raid sirens across Israel, including in Tel Aviv, where a multi-storey apartment building sustained large holes. It remained unclear whether the damage was caused by a direct strike or falling debris from intercepted missiles.

Rescue teams were searching for civilians trapped in one building while others were found sheltering in damaged structures.

Israel’s military said its fighter jets had launched a significant wave of strikes in central Tehran on Monday, targeting command centres, including facilities linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
