If Not Covid And Russia-Ukraine War, Akufo Addo Would’ve Been The Best President Since 1992 — MP Sylvester Tetteh

Sylvester Tetteh, the Member of Parliament for Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro and a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has bragged that President Akufo-Addo has outperformed all Ghanaian presidents.

The politician claims that if it weren’t for the effects of foreign factors on Ghana’s once-flashy economy, President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo would have been the best leader the country has ever had since the Fourth Republic.

During a discussion on Accra’s Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show, he said that the COVID-19 outbreak and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis had shattered the President’s noble motives.

Any challenger to Mr. Tettey would have to engage him in conversation.

On the other hand, the NPP member acknowledged the difficulties facing the nation and urged Ghanaians to have faith in President Mahama to turn the tide.

“If it hadn’t been because of COVID and Russia/Ukraine war that have upset our economic gains, I haven’t seen anybody under the Fourth Republic who has performed excellently like Nana Addo.

“And these are things that I dare anybody to come to the table, let’s discuss it,” he brags.

For Ghanaians, I’ll make a strong plea: ‘It’s the same hands that brought us from low growth GDP to 7.3 percent growth with the IMF,’ he said “, he tried to get the court to reconsider.

According to Mr. Tettey, “As long as there is a government in place that has a good aim for our nation, we must return to the fundamentals and enlist the support of our technocrats. Change can only be achieved via a national conversation.
