I would not shake Edochie because we have see billionaires bow when they want to greet me – Oluwo

Following the viral handshake between prominent Nollywood actor Pete Edochie and the Ooni of Ife at a function they both attended, the Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has responded.

According to the Nigerian Tribune, the Oluwo, who was there for the interview, scowled when the Ooni of Ife accepted to shake Peter Edochie’s hand. He emphasized that if it had been him, he would not have done so.

The monarch who made this comment emphasized that a king should be aware of his position since, as we have all witnessed, billionaires bow down to him when they come to him and meet him.

The Oluwo of Iwo land said that if he were Edochie, he would not shake hands with him and noted that other great individuals, like as the president Bola Tinubu, have bowed to him in greeting.

“I won’t shake Edochie,” he said. Billionaires like Dangote and Taiwo Afolabi have been observed bowing when they wish to greet me. These outstanding personalities are examples of humility, including Otedola, the President, Bola Tinubu, and Baba Lai Mohammed.

I can show you images of them, and you can see where President Tinubu welcomed me. However, I wouldn’t shake hands with that man if I were the Ooni. If you’re coming to say hello and you’re unable to bow, keep on saying hello. Eminent Nigerians that I have met have extended their hands to shake mine in a humble greeting.
