I Realized My Son Wouldn’t Want Me To Remain Sad- Davido Speaks On Life After The Death Of His Son

Nigerian musician, Davido during an interview talked about how he felt after Ifeanyi’s death and how he was able to record his album, “Timeless” despite the grief of losing his son.

Davido said that every morning when he looks at the mirror tears drop out of his eyes. His wife, Chioma was also sad and the whole family felt the death of the son.

After grieving for weeks he then thought to himself that his son would not want him to remain sad. He felt that he need to put himself together as there are people who love him and are looking up to him. He felt the world needed him to be strong. The musician started his normal activities with that inspiration. 

He said people expected his Album to portray the sadness he felt. The album produced hit songs that people across the world are now joyfully dancing to.

After the death of his son, Ifeanyi, Davido spent weeks before he resumed going to events and tours. He stopped posting on social media too.
