A Nigerian lady has recounted a chilling childhood experience involving a housekeeper who allegedly returned to her family’s home after dying from a snake bite.

In a video shared on TikTok, she recalled that the woman worked for several families in their community and was loved by many because of how well she did her job. She described her as a sweet lady who bought sweets for the children every Friday.

The lady narrated that the housekeeper was cleaning another family’s home when she reportedly lay down to rest and was bitten by a snake. She was later found dead on the floor when the homeowner returned from work. Her family learnt about her death after she failed to show up for work.

“My mum, dad and grandma gathered, and they were crying. Toward evening, around 7pm, someone started knocking on the gate. The gateman went to check and ran back inside that it was the housekeeper. Na so everywhere scatter for the house.

She was like, ‘Mummy Faith, na my money I come for. I just want my money.’ My dad told her that it was late already and she should come back in the morning,” she recounted.

According to her, the family could not sleep that night, while the gateman brought his mattress into the sitting room. The following morning, they searched the compound but could not find anyone.

Her parents later took the money owed to the woman to her husband’s house, where they reportedly met other members of the community. She claimed the family was told that a particular ritual had to be performed to stop the alleged supernatural occurrence.

The story has generated reactions online, with many expressing shock and sharing different views about the alleged encounter.
