I Lost 200M in One Day Because of the Love I Had for My Husband, I suffered With him but He Later Dumped me for another Woman

In a touching interview with Afrimax, a woman identified as Olive Kagendo opened up about how she lost a staggering 200 million shillings in a single day—all because of the deep love she had for her husband. See here

Olive revealed that she had been married for 20 years, during which she devoted her time, energy, and finances to building a life with her partner. Throughout their relationship, she stood by him, offering her unwavering love and support.

However, her world came crashing down when her husband suddenly changed. According to Olive, not only did he turn his back on her, but he also evicted her from their home, leaving her with absolutely nothing—despite everything she had sacrificed.

“I have built a lot of lands in Nairobi we have a lot of properties and even now this is our matrimonial room whereby i removed this from hope I cant explain why it is being done to me” She said while she cried in a part

Narrating the ordeal, she said: “I joined my high school in 1995 and whereby when i got to my high school there came a guy where we are going to the same church with him but he was ahead of me in terms of education …. when i was in high school, he was in the university but when i was in form 2 he came to do his attachment in my school this is where he got interested in me

“And from this time, when he was taking me, he was my teacher now doing some tuition in my high school so he was teaching me physics and mathematics and from there, he got interested in me he never told me because this is our culture from our church whereby when you get interested in a girl you must go and make a report to the elders of the church and then the girl is preserved for you so it took sometime until i completed my high school and when i completed my high school he came he came to the elders of the church and made the report and then this was also taken to my parents and when i finished my high school, i got married to him.

“He came to our home and all the marriage ceremonies were arranged and i was married through our marriage customary law in 2005”

According to Olive, after she eventually married her husband, they moved to Nairobi, Kenya, in search of a better life. Determined to build a strong foundation, Olive said she worked tirelessly—brick by brick—to support their growth. She sacrificed her own comfort, ignored the red flags, and poured her energy into making the marriage work.

She explained that despite the clear warning signs in her husband’s behavior, she continued to hope and pray for him, believing that things would eventually get better. But in the end, she realized that all her efforts were in vain.

Reflecting on their struggles, Olive recalled how difficult things were in the early years: “It was the first time for him to work so our life was so hard and when we started our life, we started from scratch without anything

“So he brought me to Nairobi I was very happy and i was very new in Nairobi so we came and looked for the house where it was bedsitter and this bedsitter we didn’t have anything especially the household items even a place to sleep we just slept on the floor and until he got his salary we went to buy mattress and also a bed and life started from there so his job was good and we started a Good life from there we were also advanced when it was back in 2007 he got a nice job in Kenya and corruption where the salary was better and the love started so from where we started it also came to a point where that now we were able to own some plots of land in Nairobi these plots, we built them up till a point whereby we had income from these houses

“In 2008, we were blessed with out firstborn a girl named “Queen Shoba” and this time now we were sitting in our own houses the rental houses

“in 2009, my husband got transfer from Nairobi headquarter to Mombasa still in Kenya and corruption whereby he went and worked there even then, I think the rank was better now we were able to build the houses comfortably … Then life was good we started another business

How she found out he was cheating on her, she added: “After sometime, himself alone was coming to check on us after every two weeks, he was coming …. when i go to visit him, he could stop me from going to the place where he was in Mombasa

“One day i decided to go quietly, when i went quietly to Mombasa, I traveled overnight with my small baby when i reached to Mombasa I went to the home where he was I found the house was locked when I called him he didn’t answer my calls so i decided to call our pastor in Mombasa when i called he told me I am a pastor and I don’t want to lie to you your husband got married to another woman and when he was leaving he told me when you come i should not disclose this to you

“So the pastor and another friends of him they came praying for me … the bus fare in the evening I went back and surely i was very tired with the little baby and very much stressed because of this”

Olive revealed that after everything fell apart, her husband never reached out—not a single phone call, no apology, no explanation. He simply ghosted her, forcing her to come to terms with the painful reality on her own.

She added: “But when I came back to Nairobi, I just kept quiet I didn’t ask him because of the love I have for him I didn’t imagine whether he can do this to me but all known, it was true that he was in a relationship and when it was 2010, I came to realize that even now he has given birth to a baby with this wife now this is when the threats started a lot … This is where life started being on my side because now i could not even make calls to him whenever I have emergency maybe the children are sick or maybe when i need him I could not even access him

“It went there up to 2012 … when I saw how things are being like is when i told him now off course we have enough income would you mind if we build another home he accepted and told me go ahead and look for a land so we can build a home and the home now is which we got where we are today

“The first time I told him I got this baby he told me that the baby is not his”
