”I left my comfort behind” – Young Finland-based man relocates back to Nigeria to contest for public office in his state

A Nigerian man identified as Sammy Desh has revealed that he left Finland where he was based for years to join politics in Nigeria.

Sammy kicked off the process of relocation in 2020, where he declared his intention to return to Nigeria so that he can contribute to bringing positive change.

”I just feel so strongly about Nigeria and would like to be a part of the change we desire”, he tweeted in June 2020.

According to the young man, he intends to contest for the House of Assembly seat in his home state of Osun.

He shared a screenshot of the time his tweet was used as a reference during a news report on TV and noted that it was at that moment he made a decision to return to Nigeria and run for office.

In his words; ”This was the day I made the decision to leave all my comfort in Finland behind, and move back to Nigeria to join politics.

I will be running for House of Assembly seat in my constituency, and with all your support I am confident that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.”
