I kept turning down Travis Barker until my therapist intervened – Kourtney Kardashian

Reality TV star, Kourtney Kardashian has revealed that she initially refused to date her husband and American musician, Travis Barker.

The 43-year-old said he made several advances at her and even tried to tempt her with vegan sushi date or a trip to the cinema following her break-up from her baby daddy, Scott Disick.

Kourtney, who is Kim Kardashian’s elder sister, said she finally changed her mind after her therapist got put in some good words for Travis.

In a chat on Not Skinny But Not Fat’s Apple podcast, she said: “He would ask me to go for sushi or vegan sushi, of course… he would ask me to go to the movies.

“I could never go. I could never. And [the therapist] was like, ‘Why? You know, he sounds like a good dad.’”

According to the mother of three, she eventually took her therapist’ advise and agreed to go with the drummer for a movie date.

Kourtney and Travis are now married with six children, three each from their previous relationships.

However, she later met him at a wedding in Australia in 2018 where he was the best man and he was the chief bridesmaid.

She found the man attractive after seeing him in person, so she decided to give him a chance and they became friends.

After three months, he asked her to be his girlfriend and she agreed and they dated till 2018 when he moved to Tasmania while she remained in Melbourne.

She wanted to end the relationship, but they eventually agreed to try the long distance, and it worked for a bit as they both had an agreement to travel and meet themselves once every month.

Fast-forward to 2020 when the coronavirus hit, he wanted to propose, but then cities were on lockdown before he could return to Melbourne.

She then discovered that she was pregnant, and she had to stay in her parents house during the nine month period.

After months of being apart, she got a surprise from him after he somehow found a way back to the city where she resides and proposed to her with the help of friends.

They couple eventually got married and she left everything behind and moved to Tasmania to start a family with him. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy whom they names Jimmy.
