Nigerian actress and brand ambassador, Josephina Ijeoma Otabor, professionally addressed as Phyna, has said that can marry a man whether he is rich or not.

According to the controversial online personality, being wealthy isn’t one of the qualities she looks out for in a potential partner.

The former hype priestess, as she was fondly called, said she just wants a loving and caring partner, being that she can take care of her financial needs.

Phyna revealed her preference during the latest episode of her podcast, Spill With Phyna, which had her rumoured boyfriend, Khaid as a guest.

The 26-year-old Edo indigene, pointed out that some men are scared of dating a richer woman, which shouldn’t be so.

She said; “When it comes to my ideal partner, I don’t even want your money. As long as you love me, you care for me. Don’t worry, I will handle my financial needs.”

On his part, Khaid said he wouldn’t hesitate to take the offer of dating a wealthier woman, stressing that money is very important in a relationship. He, however, said he would only accept if it doesn’t make the woman discriminate against him.

Phyna said she is a Catholic who was practicing Islam then because of her boyfriend but his family still prohibited him from marrying her.

She made this known on Hero’s Therapy with media personality Hero Daniels, adding that at some point her ex-lover’s sisters and mother threatened to throw her out.

The brand influencer said she eventually left the relationship, but found out later that she was pregnant and informed her former boyfriend but he denied responsiblity.

According to her, the man told her that it was her “business,” so she saw no other option than to abort the pregnancy because the “embarrassment was too much”.

Phyna said; “I left, I went back home and found out I was pregnant. I called him and he said that’s my business. I would have loved to keep the child but the embarrassment was too much.

“Not even one person in the family wanted a Christian and I felt I had a bright future and I knew it was going to draw me back, so I was left to make the hardest choice ever.”
