A Nigerian lady has broken down in tears while alleging that a Germany-based Nigerian man she dated has been blackmailing her with her nudes.
In a video shared on TikTok, she revealed that she met the man on Instagram and dated him for eight months. According to her, they initially had a smooth relationship and spoke constantly, which made her comfortable enough to trust him.
She explained that she had recently come out of a relationship and was lonely when they started talking. However, she later discovered that several details the man had given her were allegedly false.
The situation reportedly worsened after she gave him ₦7 million from money she had been saving to buy a car. She claimed he later demanded another ₦12 million from her.
“He called me on video call and said, ‘So you don’t have money to pay me, but you’re partying?’ The money I was supposed to use to buy a car, I paid him ₦7 million, only for him to start asking for another ₦12 million since Thursday,” she explained.
The lady revealed that she had been saving money since her 200 level in the university, selling hair and gradually building her savings. She claimed she eventually paid someone to trace the man’s location and discovered that the details he had provided were allegedly fake.
She also warned others to be careful when trusting people they meet online, particularly in romantic relationships.
“I never knew this thing could happen to me. I was just in love. You people should learn from my story. No nude sharing, no matter how much you love this person,” she added.
Her story has drawn attention online, with the lady urging people to exercise caution before trusting online lovers with personal information or money.
