A student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Subair Enitan has denied landing in a hospital after her attempt to break a Guinness World Record.
Enitan, who participated in the longest hand washing marathon ended it after 58 hours, despite initially planning to just wash for 50 hours.
Reacting to a video of her in the hospital, she said she is ”very much okay” and went ahead to extend appreciation to the school, supporters and sponsors.
The student said: “First of all, I’m sure you can see I’m very much okay. So to the people trending saying I landed in the hospital. I didn’t land in the hospital and these are my hands. I am better.
“I’ve been in my house with family members, my team members. I’ve been sleeping. I woke up this evening to take pictures. I have been very fine. Just dey play o. Nothing is wrong with me.”
CorrectNG reports that she was aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the longest handwashing by an individual.
A Twitter user, Dr Bush had shared a video of Enitan laying on the hospital bed with wringled white palms.
She had notified the Guinness World Records in June 2023 of her intentions and was given November 24 to embark on the marathon.
