Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has approved the appointment of three commissioners-designate, two special advisers and four senior special assistants.
The appointments are aimed at strengthening the state’s governance structure and enhancing coordination in implementing its development agenda.
Mr Ismaila Uba-Misilli, Director-General, Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
Uba-Misilli said the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, conveyed the governor’s approval.
Njodi said Yahaya had forwarded the names of the three commissioners-designate to the Gombe State House of Assembly for screening and approval.
The commissioners-designate are Dr Ahmed Wali, Nasiru Adamu and Dr Muhammad Bello.
“Similarly, the governor has approved the appointment of Abdulmalik Jibrin and Mohammed Nuhu as Special Advisers,” Njodi said.
He also announced the appointment of Jibrin Ali, Sadiq Abubakar, John Launa and Danlami Sanda as Senior Special Assistants II on Political and Community Engagement.
According to him, the appointments take immediate effect, while those of the commissioners-designate remain subject to approval by the State House of Assembly. (NAN)
