A young man, suspected to have been electrocuted while attempting to cut the cables of a transformer, was found dead in the early hours of Friday along Trademore Road, Lugbe, in Abuja.
The deceased’s body was seen crouching, lifeless and stiff, with an indication that he was caught when electricity was restored.
It be noted that there was no electricity supply in the area on Thursday night.

When Saturday Tribune arrived at the scene, a crowd had gathered, with the people taking shots of the deceased and lamenting the activities of vandals at different areas in the FCT.
A resident of Iddo Seriki area, along Airport Road, Mr Rasheed Ogunyemi, who was also at the scene, told Saturday Tribune that he and others had been contributing money frequently to repair the transformer used in his area, as the vandals always returned to cut its cables after each repair.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident, stating that the body has been evacuated from the scene and conveyed to a mortuary at Gwagwalada for an autopsy.
