Fans Donate Over 1Million Naira for Actor Baba Alapini after asking for help

Ganiu Nofiu, a renowned figure in Yoruba cinema, widely known as Alapini Osa, has revealed the circumstances surrounding his decision to sell his vehicle to support his 40-year-old son.

In a viral video featuring a conversation with Comedian Kamo, Alapini shared how his life took an unfortunate turn following the demise of his son, whose illness compelled him to sell some of his possessions, including his cars.

The seasoned actor, predominantly recognized for his portrayal of a traditional healer in movies, recounted his experience. He stated, “I had a 4 Runner SUV and another car, both of which I sold, alongside losing other cherished belongings, when my eldest child fell sick and became bedridden.”

During that period, I faced immense hardship. Despite his age of 40, he eventually passed away, and I came to terms with it as a divine occurrence.”

Expressing his thoughts, he urged Nigerians, particularly his supporters, to exhibit the same kindness shown to his colleague and friend, Lalude, who received a lot of contributions nationwide to acquire a new vehicle.

After successfully leading the crowdfunding campaign for Lalude’s recent car acquisition, Kamo shared a conversation he had with Alapini.

Lalude, renowned for his portrayal of a traditional healer in films, was recently bestowed with a brand new car, courtesy of comedian Kamo and several supportive fans who contributed.

On Friday, through his Facebook page, Kamo disclosed that Alapini, Lalude’s colleague, had approached him with a similar request for a vehicle from fans.

“Baba Alapini reached out to me. It’s disheartening to witness our esteemed legends not receiving the recognition they deserve. He will be the next individual we bring joy to, my friends,” Kamo expressed on his social media platform.

The comedic actor also shared a video, narrating how a fan generously donated new smartphones to Nollywood veterans Lalude and Alapini Osa.

However, in a recent update, Nigerians collectively raised a staggering sum of 1,178,610 naira to aid the Nollywood actor in acquiring the required car. Comedian Kamo officially confirmed this positive development on Sunday.”
