Ereyitomi Donates Boat, Equipment to Police Division in Escravos

The member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, JP, has donated a range of operational and office equipment to the Nigeria Police Force, Escravos Division, Mandagho, in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The intervention, according to the lawmaker, is aimed at strengthening the operational capacity of the police division and supporting its efforts to combat violent crimes, insecurity and other social vices across the riverine terrain.

Among the items donated are a W19 fibre boat fitted with a 200HP Yamaha engine, air conditioners, industrial standing fans, a laptop computer, filing cabinet, photocopier, scanner and printer, ceiling fans, office accessories, a gasoline cutting machine, office desks and chairs, Hisense Smart televisions and a generator.

The donation is expected to enhance the mobility of security personnel in the difficult-to-access riverine communities while also improving the working environment and administrative efficiency of the police division.

Ereyitomi said the gesture was informed by the need to support security agencies operating within his constituency, particularly in areas where difficult terrain and waterways pose additional challenges to effective policing.

He expressed the hope that the equipment would make the daily duties of police personnel easier and enable them to respond more effectively to security threats and emergencies in the Escravos axis.

The lawmaker’s intervention comes amid growing calls for stronger collaboration between elected representatives, communities and security agencies to address insecurity and safeguard lives and property in the Niger Delta.

The donated fibre boat, in particular, is expected to provide the police with improved access to waterways and facilitate patrols, surveillance and rapid response operations within the riverine communities.

Ereyitomi reaffirmed his commitment to initiatives that directly impact the welfare of constituents and strengthen institutions responsible for maintaining peace and security in Warri Federal Constituency.
