‘Entitled spoilt brat’ — Davido, Sowore fight dirty over Osun elections

African Action Congress (AAC) 2027 presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore and Nigerian singer, Davido, have engaged in a heated war of words on social media over the elections to be held in the state on August 15th.

Trouble started after  Sowore described Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun, who is Davido’s uncle, as “brainless” saying he had  “nothing upstairs”.

He also described Osogbo, the state capital, as a “war zone” lacking basic infrastructure.

In response, Davido via the mircoblogging platform, X formerly Twitter, called out Sowore, saying the political activist was “Arindin,” a Yoruba term for a foolish or unintelligent person.

Sowore, fired back, criticising Adeleke’s political record, including his support for President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 election.

Sowore argued that the label better suited the governor, as he also accused the Adeleke family of treating Osun as a “private estate” to fund their lifestyle, calling them “oppressive, corrupt, incompetent, and entitled”.

“The real arindin is your uncle, @AAdeleke_01, who had to go back and obtain the equivalent of a GED after he had already served as a Nigerian Senator,” he wrote.

“The real arindin is your uncle who chose @officialABAT as his presidential candidate, apparently hoping that imbecilic political loyalty would allow your family to continue treating Osun state as a private estate to finance your extravagant lifestyle.

“All of you are the same anyway, oppressive, corrupt, incompetent, and entitled spoilt brats, feeding off the pain, suffering, and sorrow of Nigerians. But the tables will turn. The Nigerian people will not endure this forever.”
