According to the socialite, she was raised by her mother and her stepfather but she never considered him as a father on the account that he couldn’t support her enough when she lived with them in the United States of America.
She claims she never heard from her biological father for so many years until she came back to Ghana. However, she couldn’t communicate effectively with her biological father for three years because there was no father-daughter bond between them.
She told Halifax Ansah Addo on Peace FM that for the past two years, she has managed to build a cordial relationship with her father but there is still something missing between them to the extent that she had to fake love whenever she speaks to him.
While recounting her childhood, Efia Odo said that she had always wanted a father around because she admires the bond especially when she watches movies with kids bonding with their father. However, she did not blame her father for that, adding that life in the US was what brought about the divorce between both parents.
