In other news, Ghanaian musician, Francisca Gawugah, widely known as Sista Afia has recounted one of the main challenges she encountered whiles applying for a visa to the United Kingdom.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on the Daybreak Hitz segment aired on Hitz FM, Sista Afia revealed that her visa application at the United Kingdom embassy was declined on four different occasions.

She also revealed that she used to support the family by selling ‘bofrot’ and water on the street but because she was very rebellious and adamant, she was flown to the United Kingdom just to prevent her from engaging in more deviant activities.

The “Asuoden” hitmaker also revealed that she used to pluck mangoes on trees to sell when she was living in the ghettos with her family at the age of eight years.

“I used to live in the ghetto. At age 8, I used to pluck mangoes from the tree in our house and sell them” she said.

Sista Afia in the course of the interview also revealed that she was subjected to uncertainties and tough situations when she relocated to the United Kingdom.
