Davido reveals Wizkid checks on him every week

Nigerian singer and songwriter, David Adeleke aka Davido has opened up on his cordial relationship with colleague, Wizkid.
He disclosed that the Ojuelegba crooner always checks on him and keeps in touch every week, which comes as a surprise because their fans are often at loggerheads online and offline.
Davido made this known in a recent interview, while confirmed that he would in fact be joining Machala on a concert tour.
Wizkid recently stated that he had intentions of going on a music tour with Davido, who is seen as his rival.
Confirming this, OBO said; “Yeah, I think probably … we’re in the talk. I think next year because I have to do my tour first; this Timeless album. I think by next year, me and Wizkid will do a record together. Shout out to my brother, he calls me literally every week to check up on me.”

In January, Big Wiz announced that he will embark on a tour with Omo Baba Olowo
The Grammy winner took to his social media page to make the announcement as he promised to make it happen after More Love, Less Ego album tour.
Wizkid asked fans to save some money to buy the tickets because he does not want to hear stories about why they could not show up.
He shared a photo of himself and wrote; “After MLLE tour! Davido and I going on tour! Save your coins!! I no wan hear pim!!”
Though he did not disclose a date, the news made fans very excited, and they could not contain their eagerness to see the heavyweights perform together after years.
However, it may not happen until the end of the year or in 2024 because Davido had postoned his A.W.A.Y Festival and announced in November 2022 that he will not have any show until November 2023.
The announcement from his management came after the untimely death of his 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke Jnr and he postponed.
The statement read; “We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023.
To all ticket buyers, your tickets will be honored for the 2023 date. We understand that you must be disappointed but we promise to come back with a bigger and better show. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future.”
