Retail petrol prices across Nigeria have remained largely stable over the past week despite continued volatility in the international crude oil market.
A market survey showed pump prices ranging between N1,290 and N1,370 per litre at filling stations operated by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and independent marketers, including MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, NIPCO Plc, Ranoil Nigeria Limited, AA Rano Nigeria Limited, TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria Plc, Emedab Energy Services Limited and Bovas and Company Limited across Abuja, Niger State, Kogi State and Lagos.
At the supply level, the gantry price of petrol at the Dangote Refinery remained unchanged at N1,200 per litre, while depot operators such as AA Rano, Sobaz Nigeria Limited and Soroman Nigeria Limited sold products at ex-depot prices between N1,220 and N1,230 per litre.
President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, confirmed that the refinery received 10 crude cargoes from the NNPCL in March 2026, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The relative stability in domestic fuel prices comes amid turbulence in global oil markets over the past six weeks linked to tensions involving Iran and the United States in the Middle East.
As of Thursday morning, benchmark crude prices, including Brent and West Texas Intermediate, rebounded by about three per cent to $96 and $97 per barrel respectively, after falling by roughly 14 per cent the previous day following reports of a temporary ceasefire agreement between the two countries.
