The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has declared one of its officers, DSC IG Mohammed, with Service Number 57765, a deserter from duty.
The Service announced this in a Public Notice issued by its Management and posted on its official platforms.
According to the notice, DSC IG Mohammed has been declared a deserter with effect from 1 April, 2026, having been absent from duty without leave, permission or lawful authority.
The Service stated that consequently, the officer is no longer authorised to represent, transact or undertake any official business on behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service.
It further advised members of the public to take note of the development and to exercise due diligence in respect of any purported official engagement with the said individual.
The notice was signed by the Management of the Nigeria Customs Service.
The NCS urged the public to verify any engagement with its personnel through its official communication channels.
