Ronaldo shared the happy news with his millions of followers on Instagram by posting a photo from the occasion with the simple caption:

A representative for the footballer confirmed that Ronaldo and Georgina were married in a civil ceremony held in Cascais, Portugal.
The representative said:
“Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez were married today in a civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, and are now officially husband and wife.
“The ceremony was a private and intimate moment attended by their five children.”
