The Federal High Court in Gusau has scheduled the judgment in a case filed by Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi against the APC, INEC, and Senator Sahabi Ya’u for August 31, 2026.
During a session on Friday in Gusau, the court adopted the final written addresses submitted by both the plaintiff and the defendants.
The presiding judge, Justice Hassan Dikko, after reviewing all the final written addresses, has set the date for judgment as August 31, 2026.
It is worth noting that APC senatorial aspirant Dr. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi has taken legal action to challenge the legality of the primary elections conducted in Zamfara North.
He filed a case against the APC, INEC, and Senator Sahabi Ya’u, who was declared the winner of the contested APC primary election for the North Senatorial District of the state.
