Renowned cleric of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu-Alo, on Sunday lauded President Bola Tinubu and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the peaceful conduct of the August 15 governorship election in Osun State.
Alo attributed the peaceful conduct of the poll to what he described as Tinubu’s non-interference, while also commending the people of Osun for their determination and courage to vote for candidates of their choice.
The cleric, who is also the founder of Adamimogo FM Nigeria, described the peaceful election as a milestone for the Tinubu administration and a positive indication of what Nigerians should expect in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking amid the ongoing annual 31-day prayer programme of his church, tagged “Sure Mercy of David”, at Adamimogo Jesus City, Lagos, Alo expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the Osun governorship election, particularly the ability of voters to exercise their franchise freely without being swayed by financial inducement.

He urged Nigerians to continue praying for the country and its leaders, saying this would help the Tinubu administration sustain peace across the country.
The cleric also felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid, urging them to celebrate with restraint and mutual respect, while wishing the Muslim community a joyous and peaceful celebration.
The Federal Government had declared Tuesday, August 25, as a public holiday to mark Eid-ul-Mawlid.
Alo said: “As we celebrate with our Muslim brothers and sisters on this joyous occasion, we also appeal to Nigerians to be more prayerful and always pray for the country.
“The period should also serve as a time for collective prayer for the peace and cohesion of the country, as national unity remains a shared responsibility.
“Every Eid-ul-Mawlid gives us reason to pause and draw lessons from a life defined by compassion, humility and service to others.
“These are qualities our nation needs now more than ever, and I encourage every Nigerian, not just our Muslim brothers and sisters, to reflect on them.”
On the “Sure Mercy of David” programme, Prophet Alo assured participants that God would visit everyone who took part in the prayer and fasting exercise, adding that the church had already commenced prayers for the nation.
He said: “Sure Mercy of David 2026 is an annual prayer and fasting programme of the church which lasts for 31 days. We are in the final week of the programme, and I still wish to enjoin everyone to be part of it. The Lord will surely visit you as you make it.”
Prophet Olu-Alo also urged Nigerians to participate in the prayer meeting, describing the exercise as important because everyone needs prayers to overcome the storms of life.
