Burna Boy emerges most streamed Nigerian artiste across platforms

Afrobeats and Dancehall singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has become the most streamed Nigerian artiste in the world.

The African Giant achieved the feat after peaking at the top spot on five global leading streaming platforms.

According to TurnTable charts, as at October 5, 2022, Burna Boy was the most streamed Nigerian artiste on Boomplay, Apple Music, Audiomack, Spotify and YouTube.

This comes just days after Apple Music revealed the all-time metric for Nigerian artists’ performance on their platform.

In a post on its Twitter page, TurnTable charts wrote;

”. @burnaboy is the all-time most-streamed Nigerian artiste on these platforms across the world…”

In other news, singer, Chukwuka Ekweani popularly known as CKay was recently awarded a recognition plaque following his performance in Tunisia.

He graced the stage at the 30,000 capacity Carthage Amphitheater in Tunis and shut down the arena which was full to the maximum.

The management decided to appreciate CKay by presenting him a plaque and a photo which surfaced online shows him posing with it.

The Chocolate City artiste also took to his Instagram page and shared a video of his captivating performance at the Carthage Amphitheater.

He acknowledged the historic importance of performing at the arena which has been existing for 2000 years and went further to thank fans for showing up.

Sharing the clip, Ckay wrote; ”Over two thousand years of history in this arena! Thank you Carthage, Tunisia! ???✨| ? @z3rovisuals”
