BREAKING: Like #Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, Sanwo-Olu Votes, Speaks About MC Oluomo’s Intimidation—Governor of Lagos State and flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the governorship election, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has cast his vote at St. Stephen. Primary School polling unit, Adeniji Adele Street, Ward E3.

Sanwo-Olu, who is contesting a tight race, commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for opening the poll in time. He also expressed satisfaction with the voters’ turnout, which he said was fairly high.

Sanwo-Olu, however, said he won’t comment on the video of incitement to violence made by one of his appointees, the chairman of Lagos Motor Parks and Garages, Musliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, because according to him, ‘it is not verifiable.’

Oluomo, in a video that has now gone viral, threatened Igbos who will not vote for the All Progressives Congress in Saturday’s governorship election, to stay at home.

“We have begged them. If they don’t want to vote for us, it is not a fight. Tell them, mama Chukwudi, if you don’t want to vote for us, sit down at home. Sit down at home,” Oluomo said in the video.

After the Labour Party clinched the majority votes in Lagos State during the February 25 presidential election, Sanwo-Olu redoubled his effort to avoid being swept away by the momentous push of the Labour Party in Lagos.

Sanwo-Olu hits the streets and markets to mix up with ordinary folks in an effort to get them to his side.

The other frontrunners in the Lagos governorship poll include the PDP’s Abdulazeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor and the Labour Party Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
