Before opening shop for a lady, pay her bride price – Nigerian man

A Nigerian man identified as Innocent Tino, has given suggestion on what men who open businesses for ladies can do to secure commitment.

He took to Facebook and stated that the men should either pay the bride price of the girl or get her pregnant for launching the shop for her.

According to Innocent, 6 out of 10 girls whose shops were established by men usually end up marrying their customer, thereby breaking the heart of the men that supported them.

He sparked emphasised the need for men to be smart and embrace his ideas to save themselves from impending heartbreak.

The post reads; “6 out of 10 girls you open shop for while dating hoping to marry her, go marry customer she meet for the shop you open for her. Dey dia! No use your brain. Before you open shop for her, two things: you must have paid her bride price or give am belle.”

A Nigerian man’s plan to marry his heartthrob has been shattered owing to his inability to afford the bride price given to him by his in-laws.

His fiancée’s family presented him with a N1.2m marriage list when he went for introduction in Tombu village, Buruku Local Government Area of Benue State, but what he could come up with was N600,000.

The story was shared on Facebook by the man’s friend, Udam Samuel Aseer, who disclosed that they insisted on not taking anything less than the items on the list which total N1.2m.

He wrote; “My Friend couldn’t marry his Girlfriend with 600k, as in-laws insist on N1.2m marriage list. Tiv Traditional Council voice out pls.

The girl is madly in love with my friend and vice versa, but all efforts to honor her before her parents with the marriage list they presented to us in Tombu, Buruku LGA proof abortive and we bowed out back to Mkd this evening.”
