The race for power inside the Big Brother Naija Season 11 house has taken another interesting turn, with Abisola ‘Abi’ Ayoola emerging as Head of House for the second time this season.
Abi secured the coveted position on Monday night after overcoming Gerard in the final round of a tense Head of House challenge.
Her victory has now placed her in the history books as the first female housemate this season to win the HoH title twice in the ongoing ‘Show Ya Sef’ edition.
The challenge began with several rounds of elimination, gradually narrowing the field until Abi and Gerard were left to battle for the ultimate prize.
Gerard once again came close to claiming the title, but Abi kept her composure when it mattered most and finished the contest as the winner.
According to the show organisers, Gerard was once again within touching distance of the HoH crown, but Abi ultimately held her nerve and secured the victory.
A new HoH privilege
Abi’s latest victory came with more than just bragging rights.
Big Brother introduced a major change to the privileges attached to the HoH position, with the traditional Lucky Dip for access to the HoH Loft scrapped.
Under the new arrangement, the Loft now belongs automatically to the Head of House.
That made Abi the first HoH of the season to enjoy the Loft privilege directly.
After securing the space, she selected Temi Nkem to share the HoH Loft with her for the week.
But the changes did not end there.
The organisers also revealed that Abi will be eligible to participate in next week’s Head of House challenge.
This marks a departure from the previous rule, under which an outgoing HoH could not immediately return to the competition for the position.
Nomination rules take another twist
The housemates also received a major shock following the conclusion of the HoH contest as Big Brother announced changes to the week’s nomination process.
The usual save mechanisms were cancelled following repeated conversations among housemates about nominations, possible conspiracies and the practice of saving fellow contestants.
As a result, the safety net available to housemates has been significantly reduced.
For this week, only Abi, as Head of House, and Sheba, the Most Influential Player of the Week, are safe from eviction.
Every other housemate is now facing the possibility of leaving the show.

The development could dramatically change the dynamics inside the house, particularly with alliances, friendships and rivalries likely to come under renewed pressure as contestants fight to remain in the competition.
Bells gets another Benchwarmer title
There was also no escape for Bells, who once again emerged as the week’s Benchwarmer.
Big Brother had earlier asked six housemates, Yusuf, Bells, Ricky, Aikou, Nomy and Sheba, to roll a die to determine the position.
Bells ended up with the lowest score after rolling a one.
Yusuf and Sheba both rolled two, while Nomy recorded four. Ricky and Aikou performed best in the exercise, with both housemates rolling six.
With the HoH rules changing, nomination protections shrinking and another eviction looming, the BBNaija house appears set for a particularly unpredictable week.
