President Bola Tinubu has taken a swipe at Mr. Peter Obi, 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) over erosion challenges in Anambra State.
TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports Tinubu made the remark on Friday during his visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he praised Governor Umo Eno’s administration for developing a resort on reclaimed land.
Speaking at the Arise Palm Resort in Akwa Ibom State as part of his presidential campaign activities, Tinubu commended Governor Eno for the structure.
Comparing the governor’s efforts with Obi’s record as former governor of Anambra State, Tinubu said:
“Here we are on a resort claimed from erosion, and you want to compare the brain of this man (Pastor Bassey Eno) to that of Obi?
“He ran away from erosion in Anambra, and he wants to be President, President of where? Lilikabu?” Tinubu queried.
The president’s remarks, which appeared to be directed at Obi’s presidential ambition, have sparked conversations on social media.
